The Challenge
Upgrading the lighting infrastructure of a major municipality requires more than just replacing fixtures. The mandate involved two of Jhelum’s busiest corridors—Old GT Road and Thalian Wala Road. The primary challenge was executing a dual-front operation: managing extensive, heavy civil structural work alongside precision electrical deployments, all within a strictly accelerated 5-month timeline. Furthermore, the installation had to rigorously comply with detailed Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP) without disrupting daily urban transit.
The Solution
Beacon Lighting Solutions engineered a synchronized deployment strategy. Before a single light was powered, our teams executed extensive civil groundwork—including structural mounting, trenching, and grid reinforcement—to ensure a rock-solid foundation. We then installed our legacy-crafted, high-lumen street lighting systems. These units were specifically selected for their proprietary thermal management, superior optics, and ability to withstand severe weather, ensuring the grid operates at peak efficiency with absolute reliability.
The Outcome
Delivered strictly on schedule, the project successfully transformed the night-time infrastructure of Jhelum City. By deploying technically responsive, high-end LED systems mounted on upgraded civil foundations, we drastically improved urban visibility and safety across the city’s main arteries. The installation significantly lowered the municipality’s long-term lifecycle costs and solidified Beacon’s standing as a premier contractor for complex, nine-figure government infrastructure projects.
